Here to show my Sentimental model that worked on as many, many years ago when I was very bad at painting, Asked my brother (who at time was collecting them) If I could help with painting one of his models and he said all right and passed me the Ork Warboss with big choppa. When I painted it up and detailed fully (or best could detail back then... shaky hands didn't help me back then) It came out as a really good model, very realistic face that the eyes looked real life. But sadly when moving to Bavaria due to family's work making us move, he was lost during moving house but when moved back and got back into Warhammer 40K due to a friend of mine wanting his chaos to verse my Dark Eldar, I decided that one day I was going to buy the Ork Warboss and paint him again with my better painting skills for old memories sparking back to life

So here he is after so much work into him, followed the original Ork skin of dark green with faint bright layer on muscles as wanted to try painting him as best as I could back them years ago.

The base was a black paint with a grey dry brushing over to give it a cities of death style feel to it or surround areas of a city.

Its really wonderful to be able to share my sentimental model with you all who read this and hope you all enjoy this model

Nice I like the skin and general Orc look. Have you thought about highlighting the red part with a lighter red? Cause... you know, red? I mean it's fasta and all

That could be something worth trying on him never thought of that Murenius did paint the different banner layers in darker and brighter reds before washing to give some contrast but will certainly try highlighting the edges on it

Looks good, ork skin can indeed be a tricky one to perfect

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

It was quite a challenge to not over do the bright muscle highlights so it kept its dark look to it

Very nice and grimdark. All I'd do it darken the tongue, it's a bit bright compared to the rest of the mini.

Aha I see your point there Paradigm. Will certainly do that as think I know what can do to darken it and keep it looking tongue coloured
