That's a hell of a haul! I've found that I have a hard time getting a project done if I get that much at once. Building armies up one unit as a time has always worked better for me. However, with Forgeworld shipping, your method makes sense! So long as you post up this stuff in a P&M blog I think I can look past our differences in armybuilding approaches

Woa... I was thinking of making a thread on this topic yesterday. You have me beat though. My wife was going nuts because I "invested" $1581.73 on Dark Angels, Assorted Chaos and Imperial Guard...Paints and a new airbrush system... and a Warmachine army...

Yea, I feel a little guilty but it. I'm sure I won't need to buy anything for at least a year. Right?

Right?!?

Edit: This was all just this month. OP, if youre single and sucessful, it's not too much. If you're married and making under 100k a year with a mortgage and car payments... then yes it's too much but who cares. The human body can survive off instant noodles for a long time.

No way, Jose.

That's way more assembly and painting than anyone should have lined up.

I look forward to seeing it all done sometime around 12th edition!

Why? I don't understand? You mean pay someone to paint them? That's ridiculous. Thats like buying a video game and then paying some random goon to play it for you.

to be fair there is a difference. its more akin to getting the game set up for you. sure their is good things in painting your own work, but there is also times where getting it all nicely painted to a standard you want but cant do for yourself in a reasonable timeframe done by someone else.

At least Iron Hands have a pretty simple color scheme. I'd certainly rather assembly line paint them than something like Sons of Horus that involve several mixed colors and a bunch of blending. And that's not even messing with the vehicles.

It's deceptively simple. Black is an utter pain in the ass to highlight and you can't shade it unless you're instead painting with an intensely dark grey. OP, I really hope you have an easy to work with scheme picked out!

I think that's why FW edge highlighted them with silver.

This guy..... gets it. Its a bad addiction, monthly binges that should hold us over for a year(s), usually end up casuing more itching. -.- Thus why i flip armies, trying to sell 5k sisters for more IH models. Gotta keep the new junk flowing!

Ive picked a realatively simple scheme following the FW IH models. The only part im scared to do is my main man, Ferrus Mannus and his Morlock termies. Those green/ metallic style armour is impossible to replicate. I have every FW painting book but it doesnt cover terminators from several millenia ago -.-

BTW so all yall know, ITs clan Kaargul w/ Ven Dread Bannus at the helm. I need to buy him buyt idk what venerable FW body I shold use

Lol, it really does get addictive. I wonder what vets have spent. Like what is the overall expenditure over the life of the hobby.

I used to collect MTG , Pokemon, and Yugioh cards. Then I got into curio and relic firearms. Then it was carpentry tools...and now Wargame miniatures. Gundams and model cars never got addictive for some reason.

OP: Update with pics on your progress. Dat paint tho... gonna take a while.
