How does the skyshield work with LoS for units that are on the pad? With the weird screen folded up it looks a lot like nothing that isn't at the very edge of the landing pad can really see the rest of the board. Do your models have to be at the edge to shoot anything that isn't large and/or a flyer?

As with everything else, it is True Line of Sight

If you can draw Line of Sight from any part of the firing models body (Targetable area includes head legs arms torso etc) to the enemy's body or hull (Targetable area includes head legs arms torso etc) then you have Line of Sight and can declare them as a target for a shooting atack.

It works exactly the same as for everything else: If you can draw LOS from your model to the enemy, you have LOS.

It's all down to the actual placement of the models at the time. There's no way for someone on a forum to say 'Yes, that will have LOS' or not.
