Cuban company is preparing to release fragrances in honor of Che Guevara and Hugo Chavez. Both families have given their blessing.

Say what you will about these guys, what does this say about the growth of capitalism in Cuba?
As for the scents themselves….

Che’s smell, Ernesto, is “woodsy and refreshing with notes of Talcum powder.” The cologne is likely, and hopefully, being generous, since Guevara was known to have avoided bathing for most of his life.
As for Hugo Chavez’ cologne, known simply as Hugo, the smell is “softer and fruitier,” and contains hints of mango and papaya. It’s hard to say how the scent matches up to the real man, although he may not have wanted to be known as fruitier than his fellow Latin American socialist.
Makes sense to me, I always thought Hugo was fruitier than Che.
What would these fellows think about having scents with their names? I have a feeling Hugo would be entirely on board as he never seemed to shy away from anything that garnered attention. Che on the other hand would probably have taken a dimmer view.
