I was flicking through the Grey Knights codex and somehow I get the feeling the ink is waay too dark in this publication...the reds look very dark and you sorta get the impression that the printer printed out this codex in a very rich ink / saturated manner....kinda too dark. Anybody else feel this way? I thought my copy was faulty but then I compared it to the image leaks of the GK dex and it seems to look the same way.

Can you take a picture? Nothing that'd break the rules, of course.

It's so when you ask why the GK codex is so damned expensive the store managers can tell you "well they used 50% more ink so it's 50% more expensive".

They used 50% more ink, so it contains 50% more forged narrative?

Oh, I can definitely see it. It looks like the book has been gone over with marker! It's only on the shield thing, though, and 7th seems to have an ongoing theme of very intense black and red. I think it's just supposed to be like that, especially given how the colours don't appear to be bleeding, which is what over-inking usually looks like.
I don't have the Grey Knight book so I can't compare, unfortunately.
