Subject: [1000] - Harlequin Troope (Eldar) - Harlequin themed army

My intent is to replicate the old codex with using wargear choices that reflected (my interpretation of) Harlequins. I do this by using a CAD of Eldar and another CAD of Iyanden. It is meant to be fun project to better myself at painting, but I want to stand up to opponents at a 1000 point level. Criticisms about fluff and obviously the army list are all appreciated.
Eldar:
Non Force - 4 Warlocks on jetbikes w/ singing spears (220)
HQ - Autarch on jetbike w/ firesaber+mantle of the laughing god (115)
HQ - Farseer on jetbike w/ signing spear + runes of witnessing (150)
Troop: Windrider Guardians (51)
Troop: Windrider Guardians (51)
Iyanden:
HQ - Autarch on jetbike w/ celestial lance (120)
HQ - Farseer on jetbike w/ runes of witnessing + spear of teuthlas + witchblade (145)
Troop - Windrider (51)
Troop - Windrider (51)
I want a low model count, as I will be taking jetbikes (maybe even reavers) and placing harlequin models onto them in acrobatic poses. The jetbikes are more to A) make them a little more competitive and B) to replicate their speed.
Mantel of the Laughing god will server as my solitaire. The farseers will roll on telepathy, if they get invisibility they will go with a squad of troops if they get anything else they will also roll around on their own. The warlocks will be my "shadowseers" rolling on the battle (something or other) chart to take their primaris to make my troops more survivable/ fluffy.

Wait for the new Dark Eldar to come out, and you may just have the perfect fit for a Harlequin army. Reavers are set for a buff, down to only 16pts each, they lose the ability to hurt people on the fly over but gained a Str 4 Rending HOW, better Combat Drugs, cheaper special weapons, gained Hit'n'run and most importantly, Caltrops are THE BOMB. Gives the Reaver holding it D6 Str 6 Rending HOW hits, ouch! 2 units of 6 of these if properly supported could kick major butt Harlequin style.
Venoms and Raiders are now available without the troop tax, so you could even give a unit of actual Harlequins something they have lacked for a long, long time. An assault Transport.
Just options you should consider for a much more melee focussed army, Remember that unlike Wind Riders the Reavers remembered to bring their knives and pistols, meaning each one has 3 Ws 4 I 5 attacks with combat drugs giving a bonus to practically any combat related stat. Also note new PFP rules mean by turn 4 every guy is packing FNP and Furious Charge for free!

I will definitely have to look at the new book, but I do want to keep the army a small elite unit. Taking the required troops, even if painted correctly may look out of place. I am also trying to avoid transports.

The problem is, even with the appropriate pain job, Wind Riders will NEVER be a combat unit. No matter what buffs you add, what psychic powers you get off or anything they will still be 1 attack Ws 4 S 3 models, which is not fluffy for Harlequin Bikers in the slightest. At least Reavers fit in due to being halfway competent in combat and having all Harlequins special rules (Furious Charge and Hit'n'run).
Basically all your damage is coming from your heroes, meaning, if they fluff out then basically, you lose.
What I'd suggest is dropping the second detachment. That nets you 367 points. With that you can get a unit of 6 Reavers with Cluster Caltrops and an Agonisor Arena Champ for 151 points and a Succubus (She'd make a great Harlequin) with some Wyches to deepstrike in.
Not saying your list is bad, i am just suggesting you are relying to much in Hero Hammer. Because after all, you only have 28 3+ wounds in your entire army and your only combat punch is your heroes.

after looking at the new dark eldar book. I think I may stay with my original list. Any thoughts one wargear changes? I have moved some points around to give the windriders the heavier gun.
