Advice For The Newbie:

Hey, I'm about as new to Warhammer as it gets. I've been pointed in this direction for advice on what to buy next. I have bought my first small army recently but I'm feeling a little lost as to where I should be leaning towards with future purchases.
My list as it stands:

17 Termagants
- 6 have Deathspitters currently equipped.
6 Tyranid Warriors - 2 Have Venom Cannons currently equipped. The rest have Boneswords and Deathspitters.
2 Ripper Swarms but as I understand it the minimum to use in a game is 3.
Old One Eye.

I was thinking about buying a Tervigon and a buttload of Termagants but I want to make an informed decision.
Could anyone help?

Get the Tervigon, it's good for low point games but magnetize it so you can change it to a Tyrannofex at higher point games.

Some Zoanthropes and Venomthropes will also serve you well, Venomthropes to provide Shrouded and Zoanthropes to get you much needed Synapse.

Not much to add...it kinda depends on your budget. I'd suggest your next big purchase be a Tyrant. The Winged Dakka'rant is the current "gold standard", and for good reason.

Lots of gribbles Can be a good choice, depending on your "style". Most every box of Gaunts includes a few Rippers, so over time you'll end up with plenty.

I don't recommend Tervigon these days, but if you magnitise, no harm done. But you'll want a bunch more Termagants to get full value.

If you want to "go big" the swarm Box contains a boatload of useful figs.

Good luck! And welcome to the Hive Mind!
