Hey guys, we're Mind Sketch and we wanted to introduce you to a new turn based strategy game which we developed. We are hoping to launch on Kickstarter within the next week!

We wanted to re-enact what our ancestors fought for and bring it into a modern day battle game, whilst maintaining the inventive engineering designs found in the medieval period.

Following the rules, you'll be going head to head against your enemy using real working siege engines to defend your own kingdom and destroy your enemies fort.

We'd love to hear your feedback so we can make this game the best it can be before we release it to the public, so please comment away!

Check us out on Facebook for more info: https://www.facebook.com/mindsketchproductdesign

A fun idea!

The concept takes me back to childhood games and Little Wars, in which your artillery shoots matchsticks.

I hope the arrows of the ballistas will be safe.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I suspect my daughter will enjoy this one.

I had the same thought, viking horns are more a creation of Hollywood than anything historical.

besides that, looks like fun like the old Crossbows and Catapults games.

I would agree about the horns - Not because they are unrealistic, but because they are sharp and will likely break off with use - thin MDF is not that strong!

I would also advise making the weapons thicker and larger for the same reason.

I say this as a backer! Im excited to get my Ballista!

My first thought was Crossbows and Catapults. Had it as a kid, and bought the re-release about 20 years ago as well...

I realise that these are for a game and do actually fire, but it's worth noting that for most wargamers (who are your audience here), £15 is a huge amount of money for a single MDF war machine to use on the battlefield.

Warbases do MDF onagers and ballistae for £1.50 each.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”
