So my friends and I were under the impression that the 7th edition codex psychic powers supersede all of the other army books in terms of psychic powers. Ie....the Eldar can no longer select powers from the Runes of Fate, Runes of Battle tables anymore. I've been reading some threads on here and I'm thinking otherwise. People are discussing about how/when to use Fortune, which units to use Guide on - and this is all news so me cause I thought those Eldar specific psychic powers were no longer available in 7th edition.

Any clarification?

The disciplines in the BRB only supersede the same-named disciplines from the 6th ed BRB. Any model that has access to a codex-specific discipline, still has access to that discipline.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Okay perfect thanks. I guess I won't have to draw powers from the mediocre, generic, psychic tables anymore!

that's not 100% accurate, when 7th edition came out any army that didn't have a 6th edition codex lost access to their codex powers. So the only armies that i can recall of the top of my head that it mattered were Blood Angels and Space Wolves, but now Space Wolves have a 7th codex. BA are still out in the rain for psychic powers but will most likely get updated powers for them.

I didn't say Codex powers, I said Codex Disciplines. Blood Angels do not have any Codex Disciplines.
