Hey guys, sorry I am new to this site. I uploaded a pic-heavy post, but the majority of my pictures came out upside down/sideways. Is there any way to quickly fix this issue within dakkadakka? Or do I need to use my computer to rotate them 90/180 degrees and then reupload?

Thanks in advance fellas

I believe a 'rotate' button is something that Lego has on his 'to do' list, but for now you need to correct them before uploading.

If they're taken on a phone (which is usually how this comes about) you don't actually need to rotate them. The problem is just that the phone reads data on the image that tells it to rotate the image automatically, while the gallery software doesn't.

Just open the photo in an image editor, and then save (you might need to make some small change for saving to be an option, otherwise just save as a new image works too) to over-ride the image data that tells photo software which way is 'up'.

If you upload direct to the dakka gallery it will rotate them for you now, but if you attach them to a post it will not rotate them. Upload them to the dakka gallery first and then you can insert them into your posts rather than attach them.

The rotating function in the dakka gallery is not perfect, so does not work 100% of the time but works most of the time. When it does not work you'll need to rotate it in software and then upload it as insaniak says.
