Can Blood Angels take the Storm Eagle?

Hey guys,

I was curious as to whether or not my Blood Angels could take the Storm Eagle. If so, which IA book(s) would the rules for the BA taking it be in? I know there are rules in the HH books, but was hoping I could take it in a normal 40K game.

We've sent a mail to Forgeworld and they replied:

Hi Barrie,

Thank you for your email. Our Imperial Armour Volume 2, Second Edition FAQ notes that Codex: Blood Angels armies may take the Fire Raptor Gunship. When we next update this FAQ we will be adding to it that they may also take the Storm Eagle.

Both the Storm Eagle and Fire Raptor are choices for a Codex: Blood Angels army.

Sounds great! I really just love the model and it would be a shame for a pre-heresy army like the BA not to be able to take it.

I would say yes as it's in the Space Marine Legions book which you need to be able to run any Horus Heresy List .

As a Blood Angel-player myself I can only say that the Imperial Armour 2 - Second Edition is just awesome.
But without a faq we cannot play it and that could take months.

Just look at the amount of IA2 and BA in there, it's great!

Only downside of that book is that it doesn't have the Blood Angel-contemptor pattern dreadnought.

Dang! I had no idea that page was on Dakka. Amazing!

Definitely going to pick up IA2(2). I am trying to rally together enough of the gamers at my FLGS to get a big order together to save on shipping.
