in a series of follow up threads i read two things that i cannot find support for in the rules book. I would like some help in confirming whether these rules have support somewhere or not.
1. Stormtalons can have Aerial Superiority and therefore can start on the board
2. Stormtalons can confer ignores cover on veterans

Sounds like some one is running the Tyrannic War Veterans Formation as both those rules are for that formation: Aerial Superiority and Pummeled by Fire.

The second only applies to Tyrannic War Vets in the formation.

It's a downloadable formation.

Black Library's Web Page, 40k Rules Ebooks.

Both rules only apply to units from the St Tylus Defence Force formation - only Storm Talons from that formation, and only Tyrannic War Veterans from that formation benefit from ignores cover.

It's that formation's equivalent of Ideal Mission Commander and Objective Secured
