So in my local group, we've been bouncing around a slightly quirky idea. Now bear in mind we have access to a lot of the OP resources: this is just between us, for fun.

100 points. Faction pure. You may take any number of resources, but you may only take one of each type (dice, crew, ship upgrade, flagship) and no sideboards or fighters.

Originally, the idea was also to limit to a single ship, so that we were represented an epic captain-on-captain battle.

Do we think this would be viable - or more importantly, I stress, fun?

I don't think the Fleet Captain and Fleet Admiral cards would work too well together.

I never really understood why resources were so limited to begin with. Only the Admiral's Order were really broken. The rest just seem like a regular ship upgrade if anything.

We do something similar for larger games. We allow 1 resource for every 100 points.
