I'm trying to help a friend of mine's wife beat his eldar. She's chosen Necrons. He... Eldar. He's ruling our local meta (of course). He's playing Iyanden with 3 serpents and knights, lords, guards, dire avengers, crimson hunter.

Here's my initial thoughts:

I'm new to necron lists so any thoughts you may have would be helpful. Ultimately you'll face her at the 2015 LVO!

Not really much Necrons can do to Kngihts. Best bet is Destroyer Lords with mindshackle scarabs and 6 wraiths with 3 whips and nothing else.

Doom Scythes are not worth it really. But Annihilation barges are.

Anrakyr isn't worth the points. Nor does he seem to have a place.

Your Overlord doesn't seem to have a place either.

The Royal court doesn't seem to have a purpose either.

You need to have a place for each of those guys. If they are walking then they are wasted points. You have some space in the Ghost Arks but that isn't enough.

The Spyder without scarabs is a waste too. Also they are 50 points base.

I suggest some Night Scythes.

There is no reason why that Eldar army should be too much of a hassle. Ignore the Wraith Lords. Kill the Knights with Wraiths. Shoot the flyer down with Annihilation Barges. And the serpents with mass gauss fire. Glance it to death.

The OP list is far from optimal.

Here is an optimal list for 7th edition. Tweak as desired.

2 x bargeLords with the usual wargear. Warlord has resOrb.

2 x 5 warriors in Ghost Arks (1 pulseTek in each)

3 x 5 warriors in Night Scythes (1 stormTek in each)

3 Annihilation Barges

I've had really good luck against knights just filling up my troop choices with 5 man squads of warriors. Also all of my fast attack slots are filled with scarab swarms. every turn the warriors take potshots at the knights if they don't have something better to shoot. I usually strip a hull point or two a turn and as long as I have something that can potentially threaten the knight somewhere else the warriors don't seem like a big enough threat to use the shield against.
