Maybe Matthew doesn't believe that BTP are scum. Hasn't BTP been shooting straight with MWG for a long time?

Then there's this.

Live with Shawn for a week for $1200. He will business mentor you and let paint miniatures with the BTP crew. For another $1200 he will mentor you more.

Wow, that made me laugh out loud pretty good. A few quote gems:
"Here is your chance to change your life." - Finally.
"Shawn (that's me! I'm writing this) will be glad to mentor you and give you ideas for life and help you find your own way OR business mentoring." - One OR the other, not both. Good try, scammer.
"Learn to paint awesomely and efficiently..."
And below "Comments" at the bottom: "I only approve comments that are well-worded and thoughtful."

LOL

Are there really lessons in endless drybrushing over primer?

How to paint a Necron army in time for the tournament?

Did BTP open up a separate youtube channel? I suspect an insider at Blue Table is spilling their level 6 painting secrets! Tenebre, can you make sure none of your models are shown in the background of this video?

As funny as that video was my thought throughout the whole thing was "That poor Space Marine model".

I could never do that to a perfectly good model.

As for the main discussion...

I'm disappointed by MWG's actions. I always thought them to be a down to earth friendly game group. I'd never thought Matt would be so dismissive of a guy being royally screwed by a company. Something stinks in Canada.

This interaction between BTP and Tenebre feels like the one between Vader and Lando in Empire.

I see it as the Restaurant that gave you food poisoning has offered you a free desert the next time you came by, or a free meal if you take down the Yelp saying you got food poisoning.

Actually, it's more like a Restaurant giving you food poisoning but insisting that the food was perfect all along and that you should come back again for more food with a slight discount for your troubles.

How do commission painters make ends meet? From what I can tell commission painting pays less than minimum per hour.

It kind of looks like those guys have been stomping through a Martian desert.
