Should be a simple question, if an IC is in a unit at the end of a movement phase;

can a run move in the shooting phase (or a move in the assault phase with certain units?) break coherency and let the IC leave the unit?

Or must that be done during the movement phase?

Clearly stated in Independent Characters : Joining and Leaving a Unit. (3rd paragraph specifically)
