Hello just joined these forums and thought I would post my latest painted mini. Painted this for my friends son and it was my first time with NMM Gold, I think I went to yellow on the base with mustard brown and next attempt I will move toward a more brown brown. Also my blending is pretty rough. All input appriciated and thanks in advance.

Looks pretty cool! But, you will refer to him as Lord Abbadon the Despoiler!

Have not played 40k in many many years. Late 80s I assume lord Abaddon is a unit to be feared ?

Abaddon is the big mack daddy of the Chaos Marines, and one of the few Chaos Marines to actually unite anybody post-Heresy. He's also a beast in-game! The model's from 1996, as you noted in your thread title. You did a good job painting him, although it's unusual seeing him without his trophy racks.

Check out my Youtube channel!

Yeah the model belongs to my friends son and he can't remember where he got it and these are all the parts he had. I looked around online and found an almost identical mini (slightly different pose) with the mentioned racks and they looked very cool.
