Hi there, its been a while since I've played 40k and I dug out my knights and went to my local gw, only to find that knights have had an update. "Fair enough" I thought, so I bought my copy and took a look. It was then I found that draigo is no longer an HQ (whats up with that?) and assassins cant be brought anymore. So now I cant bring the classic draigowing list which sucks, so I have written this little list but im not sure how it will work or what tactics to use. Here it is, see if you can help improve it.

So far I havnt thought of much tactics but I think the 2 land raiders with fly up the middle of the board while the 2 dreads come down the sides in a sort of sweeping assault, and the librarian will either brave it alone or ride in one of the land raiders, not sure yet.

Well, for starters be sure you read up on the rules for Nemesis Strike Force in the new codex. It allows you to take a list with only 1 Troops choice and allows your terminators to deep strike on the first turn.

Secondly, dreadnoughts this edition are pretty awful for the points. I strongly recommend using a different unit.

Draigo is no longer an HQ but he is available as a Lord of War. The Draigowing 'deathstar' is still available and more powerful than before since Draigo comes standard with the Gate of Infinity psychic power. Add Draigo and a Librarian to any shooty unit (Paladins for example or allied Centurians) and have fun teleporting around the board with your death star.

Also in the new codex, Dreadknights are insanely good. They come with the power Sanctuary giving them access to a 4++ save and their heavy psycannons were buffed to have a new fire mode and they're cheaper. I would try to get at least 1 of these instead of Dreadnoughts. Land Raiders are dedicated transports for Terminators so you currently have 0 Heavy Support units. Dreadknights will be able to keep up with the Land Raiders and apply pressure faster than the dreadnoughts.

Hows this? Drop one of the dreads and change the other one from venerable to normal, and put in a dreadknight with psycannon and greatsword

For the same prices as your dreadnoughts you can field 2 dread knights, without teleporters, with heavy incinerator and great sword. lose the master crafted and digital weapons from the librarian, take 3 terminators from one squad and make a full 10 man squad out of it. combat squad that one down into two squads of five. take the remaining 4 terminators, re kit them as paladins and one as an apothecary for tour librarians body guard.

10 man terminator squad, 2 halberds 6 swords- 334 (combat squad in 2, 5 man squads)
4 man paladin squad, 4 halberds, 2 psycannons, and apothecary- 288

put everything into reserves except the landraiders and deep strike behind your enemy turn one for a hammer to the face.
