So I had this idea and I was curious what people would think about it. Could it possibly be competitive? It's definitely unusual.

Knights/assassins (1800)

Knight detachment (1155)
Lancer (warlord)
Castigator
Paladin

Assassinorum Execution Force (575)
Vindicare
Callidus
Eversor
Cullexus

Fortifications (75)
Vengeance Weapons battery w/quad Icarus lascannon

There are 50 points left over which I figure can only be used for the weapons battery to add some carricades or tank traps or tanglewire

I think it would definitely be fun to play but what are your thoughts?

Do either of those detachments have a fortifications slot?

Who's gonna fire the lascannons? Seems like upswing their auto tracking bs2 would be kinda a waste.

No one can fire them.
They're on Vengeance batteries, and Emplaced Weapon on a building that can't be garisoned.

The Lascannon's aren't a great choice though. They don't have the "Priority target" rule that the Firestorm benefits from, so must always shoot the closest target. The Skyfire will mean Snapshots most of the time.

True. I just added it as there was nothing else to fill the remaining points and it was AA. I don't think its legal though as neither of those detachments have a fortification slot. Tourneys such as bao and LVO usually allow for a fortification in the rules though even without use of a CAD. if I were to take it out, I just can't think of what else to put in that would be legal. Part of me wonders how this list would do. It would be very interesting to play. Now I just need to get my hands on some assassins.
