So with a friend wanting to pick up the game and having a few ships that I haven't touched in a while I need to get back into the game etc. We aren't looking to get beardy etc initially we are just playing each other and branching out. So all I'm looking for is a bit of initial advice on the ships I own and a little to deal with some which he uses.

So Im flying rebels and currently have a x wing, y wing, hawk, a wing I can borrow a x wing and am soon to be getting rebel aces. I can also get a e wing from local stores but can't seem to sus them out yet so not sure whether to get one or not

My friend is a massive boba felt fan so he flys slave 1 (not necessarily as boba) two ties and can borrow my two and a interceptor which he likes to use fel with all his stress focus shenanigans.

I get some short hand but don't know all the game short hand yet so bare with me

Thanks

Oregon. I have died of dysentery.

Soontir Fel is slippery. You might try neutralizing him with an ion cannon turret (either Y-Wing or HWK).

Rebel Aces is going to open up a lot of options for you, since B-Wings are very tough and have good firepower. Definitely consider putting one of those in your squad when you get a chance.

The biggest problem with Firesprays is their toughness. That's a lot of hit points to chew through. Don't bother trying to ionize them unless it's your only option.

Just with what you have, I think I would try something like this:

Biggs Darklighter + R2-D2
Green Squadron Pilot + Push the Limit
Roark Garnet + Ion Cannon Turret
Rookie Pilot + R2-F2

Biggs is going to draw a lot of fire (that's what he's made to do) so try to keep him at Range 3 from your opponents and behind an asteroid if possible, and do green maneuvers to recover shields using R2-D2. Use Roark's ability to give one of your other ships Pilot Skill 12 when attacking -- probably one of your X-Wings. Use Push the Limit on your A-Wing to take a focus or evade after boosting.

28mm/30mm paper models are cheap, easy and fun!
