HI everyone! Im just starting out with a grey knights army. I currently play a lot of Tau and also have a militarum tempestus army. It seems to me like there is tons of great things you can equip your GK with. Im wondering how I should equip a

interceptor squad of 5

terminator squad of 5......should they be paladins ????

and then I have 15 other GK in power armour....I would love to know which squads I should break these up into and what melee weapons to give them.

Ive been thnking of doing a purification squad of 5 and then maybe just a strike squad of 10 which break up into combat squads?

Really would love as much help and suggestions anyone can give me

Thank you so much

General rule: as many psycannons as you can; one daemonhammer per unit; swords for grey knights in power armor; halberds/falchions for terminator armour; one stave per unit if you run 10 unit terminators / paladins.

I disagree with the psycannons. It was good advice for 5e and 6e, but with Psycannons being Salvo in the new Codex they lost large portion of their value for PAGK.

Edit: for terminators / Paladins, use as many psycannons as you can though

it all depends on what you are facing. I personally take a lot of flamers because the meta in my areas is guard, scions, tau, and ork heavy, and incinerators being str 5 ap4 kills most of that effectively. conversely I have a lot of PAGK that have psycannons. and what i do with them is take a full 10 man squad of purifiers and combat squad them down to 2 5 man units. one of which is comprised entirely of storm bolters an d force weapons and the other that is 4 psycannons and a knight of the flame. if you combat squad them, treat the HW squad as a purgation squad that can cast cleansing flame, and the other one as a strike squad. it works pretty effectively for me. In the future i will be building terminators with psycannons and psilencers, but really it all depends on what you are facing. if you only have 5 TAGK models then I would keep them terminators because you need a single troop choice in the strike force detachment, and the difference between purifiers and strike squads is huge compared t the difference between paladins and terminators.
