So I'm hearing that you can take a Court of the Archon without the need for a HQ.
If this is true and you build an army that has no characters whatsoever, who would determine your Warlord?

If you have no character, you can pick whatever you want (even a vehicle). Ld has NO weight on warlord choosing.
When choosing your army, you must nominate one model to be your Warlord. Unless specified otherwise, this must be a character model. If you do not have any character models in your army, then select any other model in your army to be the Warlord. The model you choose as your Warlord also determines your Primary Detachment.

OMG someone please do warlord spore mine... though if warlord spore mine blows up and kills the enemy warlord... do you get 2 VP for slaying your own warlord AND theirs?

From Living Bomb: "They do not award Victory Points when destroyed, " so it might just be the perfect warlord automatically deny's VP.
