I have a Team Tournament this weekend. My partner will be playing either SM or Deldar.

All teams are considered Allies of Convienence.

Thought or advice.

Shouldnt the shoota boyz be 220pts? 235 with 3 heavy weapons each?

Holy 'Snap'...I would not want to play against this list...wow that's a scary prospect....5!!! I hate playing against my brother's 2!!!!

Good units.

I would suggest however breaking them up seeing as to who you are allied with. What i mean with this is that at the moment you have 3 units and all eggs in one basket. Putting 3 guns in one unit and 2 guns + mek in the other. Hell even 2-1-2+mek would work. I think you should be the one with the MSU army as orks are very cheap. If you have trukks i suggest breaking that blob into 3x trukk units instead.

Now you can drop a Gun or a kopta if you want ur boyz to be shoota boys instead. and if you take one less gretchin you can get an upgrade for each of ur trukks.

@bertmac: The Orks are 210 with Shootas, the Nob is 40 with PK and BP, which equals 250.

I run a CAD like every other army. General consensus is that OS is better than HoW on 10, 11, or 12. Also you get the reroll on the Rule Book Warlord Charts.

@GoreBelcher: Your list is better than mine. It is more versatile and mobile. However, I don't have Trukks or Deffkoptas.

A thought on MSU:
Doesn't it have a massive disadvantage on a Purge the Alien Mission? Then again it is a serious pain in the ass given that you have too many targets to engage each round.


Open statement:

Warboss with a PK is 85 points the same as my Big Mek with a SAG.
I think an AP2 Large Blast will do more damage, but I'm not sure.

Thoughts?

I don't know that your half needs to be mobile. Your partner is shooty and mobile if DE. If SM he has bikes or drop pods. You should be there to soak damage and deal what you can. I'd suggest keeping your list similar to what it was originally, but how about pain boyz instead of the big mek, and a mek for your mek guns. You'd have to ditch either the extra crew, or shootas on one mob. But they would just not die.

I was thinking that a Pain Boy or 2 might work in this list. I run 1 in my Green Tide at bigger events and he is worth is weight in TEEF!
