Hey guys, just was thinking about a possible idea for my new DE army. I like the history behind Vlad the Impaler and I know technically he is more related to the Vampire Counts and such. I just thought it would be cool to do a pre-Vampireness Vlad army. I think DE would be the best army to do it. I could paint them up to look very Eastern European and they already have the wicked/torturous/impaler look going on. Also I could use some unit fillers with units from other armies impaled on spikes and such. Let me know what you guys think, if it is way off and wouldn't work.

Vlad Von Carstein and Vlad the Impaler are not 1 and the same, sure he is based off him, but not so much that you could not make up some fluff about a Dark Elf Dreadlord with a hobby for putting people on spikes (the corpse cart would be lovely for your conversions). Doing a Dark Elf army to represent a Vampire Count in his pre-vampire times as a warrior of chaos (He came from up north. So either Kisliev or Norsca) is kinda...ganky. So my advise is to either use Dark Elves with their own version of Vlad the Impaler, or use Warriors of Chaos (using mostly un-marked) barbarian horde to actually represent Vlad himself.
