Why didnt the imperium ever launch a rescue mission to find them...i mean if they launched a massive one, in 10,000 years since the heresy they were sure to have at least found some of them

There have been attempts to find Russ by the Wolves.
It hasn't worked. The Eye of Terror is a big place, even if there's anything left to find.
