eKaya if the Warwolf and Reeve hunter are the only alternative.
You're going to want the Skinwalker UA, a Warp Wolf Stalker, and a Gorax though. Those are some of the basics you are lacking.
Circle rarely uses Minions so not taking them isn't a major handicap.

Yes, his animus really is that important. But he himself also can get work done. He is a Fury 4 light with very good damage output for a light. Plus he, if wounded, can do a bunch of stuff for free.
There is a reason nearly every circle list has one.

Blargh guess i will have to mod a gorax if it is important.
so i have 6 points to play with. at the moment i have 3 heavy and 2 light beasts. is it worth running 6 beasts in a Pkaya list??
if not what beast should i drop??

Well ditch the regular Argus for sure. He couldn't be justified at 3 points, let alone 4.
I'd also look into getting Blood Trackers with their UA Nuala. They're nice and self-sufficient.

how come no one likes the Argus. i have had great luck with doppler bark making it easy to hit and preventing charges??
i had considered blood trackers and nuala. issue is with 6 points i can either get a warpborn alpha nad have 3 to play with or a unit and UA.
really not sure where to go from here =P
Thanks for the great advice btw

1) He can't hit the broadside of a barn with his Doppler bark
2) It only effects living models
3) His melee output sucks
4) Animus doesn't make up for the above problems
5) same cost as a Gorax
I think the following would be a decent 50 point list to aim for.
pKaya
-Pureblood
-Stalker
-Feral
-Gorax
Stones with UA
Stones
max Bloodtrackers
max Skinwalkers with UA
After this, you can pick up eKaya, Nuala, and maybe a third Warlock(eKreuger or Kromac would be a decent choice) for some variety.

Yeah, the Winter Argus is much better. But even he still rarely makes it into lists. Just a point too expensive, but at least he actually has some useful abilities.
Still got a pretty bad Rat, but at least he's got 2 sprays that can do actual damage plus have a very nice Crit effect that can effect anything that's not immune to Cold.
