As the title says. If a Rhino moves 6" the space marine it's transporting has to snap shot his multi-melta right? What about if it moves 12"? Can it still snap shot?

If the rhino moves at all, he has to snap shot.

There is nothing disallowing him to fire even if he moves 12" however (unless you pop smoke), so yes you can still snap shot at any distance moved.

To clarify that a little -

Models firing out of a vehicle that moved at Combat Speed can shoot normally, but they count as moving. SO a non-Relentless model firing a Heavy weapon would have to fire it as a Snap Shot.

Models firing out of a vehicle that moved at Cruising Speed can only fire Snap Shots.

Good stuff. This is the way that I understood it but I wanted to clarify. With my salamanders list running 5 tactical squads with melta and multi-melta in 5 rhinos. The Melta's will get rerolls so I can move the rhinos at Cruising speed 12" and snap fire re-rolling melta's for good times.

So basically there's not really a penalty if you move 12" and fire a the Multi-Melta aside from his Meltagun buddy not being able to fire at normal BS anymore.

Whilst we're on the subject of passengers shooting from vehicles, are they passengers affected in the same way if it's a fast vehicles? I.e passengers are snap firing I moving more than 6".

I know fast vehicles can still fire 2 weapons at full bs if they move 12" but couldn't see anything for the effects on passengers.

Fast vehicles have never affected how well passengers shoot, just how well the vehicle shoots and how far it can move while shooting.

Well, I say "never" - back to 4th edition, at least.
