So, I read the rumors about IA13 and am rather excited, even if its only for one thing right now. A drop pod I can assault out of the turn it lands? Yes please!
But I've never bought anything from forge world before and my FLGS doesn't stock IA books. So, is it like the GW site where I can change all the currency to american dollars, or do I need a paypal account if I don't have any British pounds? If so, I don't see a place to make that change. Otherwise, If i checkout online, does it even matter if I don't get paid in pounds? Will the internet automagically convert the USD to pounds?
I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.
Your bank will convert the amount from USD to British Pounds, at least this is what my bank does when ever I purchase something through an American or Japanese website.
Also, credit cards handle all currency transactions automatically as well. If you pay with a visa, for example, you won't even notice that anything's happening in the background.
Powerfisting - unless I missed something in my copy, all the dreadclaw does is a) turn up first turn, assumign you dont have more than 1 (or have 3, etc...) via DPA and 2) lets you remain onboard
The restriction on assaulting on the turn you arrive from reserves is still in place
It is, however, about **** time that the dreadclaw got half decent rules, even at 100 points now - prior versions it wasnt g'teed to turn up turn one if you wanted, etc. Horrible for a model I love!
They have made hell talons etc much more interesting now.
the rumors are saying it has Assault Vehicle now. I'm holding out until FW does a non- special edition of IA 13 so I don't waste money and I want to read some reviews of it first because buying a $70 book for one unit is gross.

I would be amazed if the price changed much between the current version and the non-slipcase version, just look at the price on non-limited IA2 2nd and IA3 2nd.
I can confirm it does have assault vehicle listed under its special rules but as has been pointed out that doesn't magically negate the rule that prevents assaulting from reserve, just like a land raider coming on from reserve wouldn't allow the units within it to assault the turn it arrived. The rules on page 89 where the dreadclaw is listed even explicitly make this clear to prevent confusion, and I quote, 'A unit that Deep Strikes via Drop Pod may not assault in the turn it arrives'.
There are however a range of other good units in the book and the content itself is excellent, with plenty of units that fill gaps the codex currently has, just not the one you wanted filling.

forgive the ignorance if it comes off as such, but in what situation is Assault Vehicle useful on it then? It is also a flyer, so potentially, I could pull it out of reserve, fly around for a turn and land *then* assault out of it, right?

You can just pay with your credit card. Though maybe notify your bank first. Living in Australia when I've ordered things off FW it's always gone fine, when I was living in the USA and had a Bank of America account when I tried to order something from FW it flagged it as a suspicious transaction. It didn't go through and I had to ring the bank the next week to get my card working again.
Was very frustrating because a) it was when Aeronautica Imperialis was being dropped and I was half way through an Imperial Navy squadron which I haven't managed to complete b) it was my only native way to pay for things while I was living there

whilst an assault vehicle that turns up turn 1 and doesnt spit your troops out, you still CANNOT assault from DS. which is what the vehicle and its contents did.

You've got it spot on right there, it's also still an excellent melta etc delivery system which is something we're also lacking in the main codex.
