Hey guys.
I've been looking through the ork dex and i saw that the gun platform Kannon is 18 points. Upgraded goes to 30 pts. The model to buy is like 28 british pounds?! thats almost a pound per point... and its crazy...
i was just wondering if you guys know any other models which would top that cost/point ratio?!

Sister Superior: 13 points, and £7.50.
1.7 points/pound.
The upgraded Kannon is 0.9 points/pound.
Stormsword is 550 points, and £85. 6.4 points/point.
Over in Fantasy, Nagash is 15.3 points/pound.

Vostroyans are 5 points apiece, and cost £9.75 for three of them.
That's £0.65 per point or 1.53 points per £.
I'm sure FW guard is even more expensive, if that counts.
---
There, I found one worse. The CSM aspiring champion costs £12. Taken naked in a regular CSM squad, he costs 10 points. That's £1.20 per point or .83 points per £.

Tyranid Rippers, armed with Spinefists.
Only available on Genestealer sprues, and only 2 per box iirc.
If you need 5 per base, then you need 15 (minimum squad size is 3). That's 8 boxes of Genestealers, at around $40 per box. So, 320 dollars. Then you need 3 40mm bases, not included in Genestealer boxe, so another $12 to GW.
$332 for a 51 point unit, or about $6.50 per point.

Tau Sniper Drones, £24 for 58 points or £1 for 2.4 points or 41p a point
Not as expensive as Ailaros's Vostroyans but unless you make your own drones there's no alternative

The official Warrior Acolyte model costs 6.15 £ for 4 points. So a ratio of 0.65 and he does not even seems to be equipped with one of the options.

It's not a captain, that's the funny part. Aspiring champions are nothing more than squad sergeants. It's more than strange to me that such a low-level model would get its own character sprue.
As such, the cost was done by taking the base points and subtracting out the by-model cost, the remainder being the "sergeant tax".
The odd thing is, though, that with pretty minimal effort you could easily make the model a counts-as huron or tooled-up lord/sorc for a much better cost to points ratio.

No he doesn't. As you added above, the upgrade from CSM to AC costs 10. The CSM are 13 ppm, so the AC ends up at 23 points for the model. Just to ensure that is clear. Does make him come ahead of the Sister Superior, for example.
Still not great. I use him as Khârn myself, his equipment is pretty much wysiwyg.
If it had been £12 for just an ' AC upgrade kit' then I would agree.

Well, but if we count FW, then the top 10 bad value units are all going to be from FW.
I mean, if you get cadian infantry with respirators, you're paying about a pound per point as well, and DKoK aren't much better.

Literally came on this thread to suggest this haha. £5 for a 3pt model basically. And if you don't spend over £250 on your order you're also spending an extra 12% for postage.
