Dakkadakka,

I'm super frustrated as I can't find my rule book! I'm trying to prepare for a campaign and can't remember exactly what the allies rules stated. I'm specifically looking for xHQ and Troops required along with once you hit 2000pts you can have two of each selection. I'm currently on bed rest for my ankle surgery and can't go upstairs to look for it :(. All the help I can get would be awesome!

1 HQ 1 Troopadoop required.

Then I believe 1 of everything else except HQ optional?

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

There's no 2000p limit anymore. You can have an 1000p army composed of a 500p CAD, a 200p Allied Detach and a 300p Allied Detach.
Allied Detachment: 1 HQ, 1-2 Troops, 0-1 everything else (no fortification/lord of war)

AI & BFG: / BMG: Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke / Battletech: SR, OWA / Fallout Factions: BoS / HGB: Caprice / Malifaux: Arcanists, Guild, Outcasts / MCP: Mutants / SAGA: Ordensstaat / SW Legion: CIS / WWX: Union

Oh ok...so I can now have Primary plus two Secondary Detachments? Wonder why that got rid of the 2000pts limit. Thanks for the help guys!

No. You can have as many detachments of whatever kind you like.

The only requirements are:

1) You meet the minimum requirements for each detachment (1 HQ, 2 Troops for Combined Arms Detachments, for example)

2) You don't duplicate Relics or models with the Unique rule.

3) You have at least one detachment which isn't an Allied Detachment, that you can select your warlord from.

A perfectly legal army (If you have sufficient points) is:

~ Combined Arms Detachment (Ultramarines)
~ Combined Arms Detachment (White Scars)
~ Allied Detachment (Imperial Fists)
~ Allied Detachment (Astra Militarum)
~ Imperial Knight Detachment
~ Astartes Storm Wing Formation Detachment (Iron Hands)
~ Tyrannic War Veterans Squad Formation Detachment

...etc, etc.

. . . And they all get Battle brothers.
How many HQs can you fit in one Land Raider? Is that a Starstar?

All this is actually "you make the call", but the way i read it you can have a detachment with, say, space marines, and another detachment with eldar, but not using "allied detachment", thus getting full FOC for both factions (and still "battel forged" bonus). The "allied detachment" is just if you dont want to get double troops for your allies.
Sounds weird, but the only restrictions to detachments are internal restrictions.
Or am I missing some important rule?

You're right.

Saids like this could be a confusing subject but super simple once everyone is on the same page. Lol.

Although if you are going on a tourney, there likely will be some big constraints on this. Like single CAD + Allied.
