do SM vet serg, primarily equipped with power fist, still get to attack after being killed in an assault phase. For example, higher initiative stuff goes first, kills serg, does he still get to make his attacks before dieing? In a bat rep, a highly reputable one, I saw them doing this, but I dont see it anywhere in the SM codex.,

Barring a CT or other special Rule in play that you missed, the Batrep screwed up. It does happen, even with the best of players.
