I'm in need of a weathering powder for my current army project, which is desert/scrubland based.

The base colour is a mix of Steel Legion Drab and the Agrellan Earth technical paint (with various other materials of course, but that's the key colour I'm looking at.)

The trouble I have is my only sand coloured pigment currently is too yellow to blend in nicely.

I've had a look, and Mig Pigments Fresh Wood looks like it might be a good match, despite obviously being intended for another purpose, but only having a GW as a LGS and the next nearest Indy selling exclusively Vallejo, I can't easily see it in real life, and the limitations of screens and photography means I don't entirely trust web pics.

Can anyone with a means to compare the two, or anyone who has any other suggestions for a powder to match, give any guidance?

Cheers.

Check your local artist supply store..
More than likely you will find pigments that match there..
