In 6th, we could just about represent them using IG (I say just about as they were not BB), but now in 7th we cannot without house ruling. Chaos players similarly were unable to field Traitor Guard in 7th until IA13.

Will we receive some love? Same goes for Tau's other allies. I'm hopeful that we might get something when we get updated eventually, but seeing the trend of recent releases, this seems very unlikely :(

What do you mean you have to house rule? Just get some IG allies.

Gue'vesa has rules in imperial armor three second edition and you can use come the apacalyps as allies now in 7th

@Thud, I mean to allow them to deploy together to make them feel like they are part of the same army, rather than some humans who don't really want to work with the Tau.

@mane11354, I believe that those rules say that they are only legal for the campaign missions and not legal for standard games.

But does it really feel like that on the tabletop? Aside from not joining units and transports, is there something you feel like the IG should be doing but are unable to with the new restrictions? Except for buffing your Tau with blessings, which TauDar (and TauMarines) proved was a fething horrible thing for the game.

I feel that they should have the option to take pulse weapons as upgrades and have a lesser FW type squad for example. Blessings should never be used on Tau, so of course no psykers.
You could say the same to the Chaos players, as Traitor Guard are almost identical to IG.

Play a highly mobile Tau force, with the allied IG occupying static long-range defenses downfield. That way both forces are fighting the way they do in fluff, and your army doesn't feel contrived.

Give your humies pulse weapons and use them as fire warriors instead.
