Subject: Heavily vampiric army - viable?

How viable would a heavily vampiric army be? I was thinking something along the lines of :
Vampire blendlord with book of arkhan /w 5x blood knights (for reroll to hit), with a vampire hero carrying staff of damnation also with the unit for extra attacks.
A couple of squads of dire wolves and big blocks of skeleton warriors just to tie up units. Though I'm thinking maybe just mass dire wolves as the skeletons won't really be able to keep up.
A couple of units of 6x vargheists, and a varghulf..
It sounds like a super fun list but kind of fragile, though I think the opponent wouldn't know what to target first.

You'd need more than 5 Blood Knights, I'd say.
The real downside to the list would be only recovering one wound per Invocation casting.
You could always try a Bloodstar, with several characters all crammed in there with the Flag of Blood Keep and some MR. You'd live or die by that unit, but maybe it'd be fun?
One thing I'd point out is the Black Coach. A weird (Vampiric) unit with a lot of potentially cool powers.
I'd do something like:
- Vampire Lord: typical blender-build
- Vampire BSB and another Vampire or two, with an Obsidian Lodestone and a Dispel Scroll somewhere in there.
- Dire Wolves and some kind of infantry block or two, for standards and a screen to hind behind, if it comes to that.
- Fell Bats and Spirit Hostes.
- Vargheists. 3 units of 4 seem like they'd be more useful than 2 of 6. Not sure, though.
- 1-2 Varghulfs and 1-2 Black Coaches
- enough Blood Knights to have a unit of 10+, including characters.
Beware of...enemy tar pits...Final Transmutation...and high-S ASF attacks.

6 x Blood knights & a varghulf is pretty much all I can fit into rare slots I'm afraid.. (in 2400pt anyways). But yeah, was definitely planning for some MR to stack with flag of blood keep..
Could probably run two or three vamps with my vamp lord with the blood knights and give one of them book of arkhan so my vamp lord can take sword of bloodshed and potion of foolhardiness, potential 10 attacks + red fury attacks on the charge with staff of damnation going off lol.
Was thinking I could take a couple of spirit hosts for blocking as well

Spirits and Fell Bats and Dire Wolves all the way.
Yeah, I always forget just how expensive those Knights are.
I'd rather see the Lord with the Ogre Blade, as per usual, though. S7 is tough to beat.

I used to run something like 8 Blood Knights, A typical blender lord a BSB with 1+/5++ and level 2 and then a level 1 with the -1Ld power and a scroll (on foot in some ghouls) with a couple of banshees.
If I was to run it again now, I'd probably use my leftover rare points on a casket, help that magic phase a long, I doubt you could fit a Hierotitan I think it is (the one with the +d3 to cast aura) but if you could get him as well then I would, higher priority on the casket though as it's easier to protect.
Then the usual spirit host/dire wolf chaff units.
