Hi Dakka, I want to make an Adeptus Mechanicus list using all converted models (I do love the Forgeworld ones but I revel in converting models, so it'll be that). I felt that Grey Knights with Astra Militarum allies was the best way to show the AdMech, but I need help in cutting out some points. This list is intended to be fluffy, yet semi-competitive, and is my first foray with both Grey Knights and Astra Militarum, so please be patient.

Right, trying to cover all the bases here, as I usually play against Eldar, AM, Space Marines and Tau. I'm pretty set on the Terminators tbh, as they're prime for conversions and just the sort of unit I feel the AdMech would have. The Dreadknights rush forward to take out major threats, terminators deep strike to a similar effect, infantry squads take objectives fairly late, Vendetta for flyers. What could I cut out for those 75 points though? I feel a flyer is necessary at this points level, and cheaper HQs are not possible. Transports are also necessary for infantry squads (command squad are in the Vendetta). Maybe the Heavy Incinerators from the Dreadknights? But they seem rather good...

Looks good in general, only queries are do all the Dreadknights need Teleports, or only two? And I'm not an expert on GK but which would be better between terminators and power armoured infantry? The IG look pretty good though, a necessary ally for fluff etc, and the Vendetta is a necessity with the prevalence of flyers in the modern rules. Very good

I think at lower points levels, power armoured Grey Knights are both better and cheaper in points, but I really want this list to be quite elite in the GK section (as you can see haha). All the DKs need teleports as they are taking the focus away from the squishy backfield objective takers etc, and will just be shot.to bits if they walk. I'm not sure if they need the Heavy Incinerators though, any suggestions? The Vendetta is expensive, but I think necessary, although how good is the cheaper Valkyrie against other flyers?

I would consider dropping the swords for hammers... and then changing an incinerator for a Heavy Psycannon... it can really tear through light armor! could be helpful in this list.

Dropping a Dreadknight would give you that 75 points and you could boost your librarian to Psychic Lv3. Probably what i would do as i don't really like taking stock anything.

Thanks @azactaylor, that sounds like a solid bit of advice, I will probably take that, for a bit of variation if nothing else.

@Echo0455 I'm not sure, I feel a Dreadknight is a lot more powerful than an extra die in my magic pool and another power to cast tbh, but thanks for the input, I'll see how it goes in the test games

I think it might be worth taking out the third Dreadknight in order to get the Nemesis Strike Force and therefore Terminators deep striking on turn 1, as this will afford more protection to my backlines as well as the Dreadknights shunting forward. I'm just not sure which is better to take, the Enginseer with plasma cannon servitors or a Vendetta? If anyone could advise me on that, I'd be greatful. As ever, criticism welcomed, thanks for reading!
