I would very much appreciate it if i could get a few questions answered. Personally i prefer to play daemons and have little interest in CSM.
1: Which units, if any, can be taken in a daemons army and which slot would they use?
2: Is the heretic list just an updated version of the old one from vraks or are there actual changes in there?
3: Are the big chaos spawn models in the book?
4: Are the huge greater daemon models in the book?

I do not think those answers are answerable on here. These forums are not a replacement for owning the books.

You could ask if any users own them, and whether you communicate by private message is up to you...

Im not asking for a replacement for owning the book, and the details i want to know have nothing to do with point values, stats or even army composition. I these are too specific for this forum then we can´t talk about anything.

Both the Daemon Lords and the 2 spawn things are in the appendices.

As far as I can remember the Daemon units are:
4 Daemon Lords

Spined Beast
Giant Spawn
Blood Slaughterer
Plague Hulk
Blight Drones
Greater Brass Scorpion
Decimator

People answer those questions all the time about new books. In fact, we have whole threads dedicated to asking/answering rules questions for people who haven't got the new book yet.

Actually, despite being a Daemon Engine (and the poster child for that section of the book) the Greater Brass Scorpion is not a Chaos Daemons unit.

Just jumped on it as a YMDC thread is all. Rumor/discussion threads agree with you, but the Tenets of YMDC imply you need access/your own rules but are unclear about something, rather than "Is Unit A Heavy Support?", which, in YMDC would be often answered by "Get the book".

I've read a run-down of the Renegades and Heretics list on 1D4Chan, and it's really a huge improvement over the old Vraks list - Now Renegades are an army in its own right, and the customization options are simply staggering: You can run anything from a Tzeentch witch-cult or a Dark Mechanicum Heretek complete with his entourage of daemon engines to an army of unalligned rebels. That said I've not read the books yet, so I can't say anything on competitive units and combos. Look in the Tactics subforum, you'll probably find something there.

I'd say the book is very much worth it just for the Renegades & Heretics list, and maybe for a CSM player who wants to bolster his/her forces with some nice forgeworld goodies. For a pure Daemons player... I'm not that sure.

Sounds interesting And i might get the book anyway. I have 2 giant chaos spawns that would like fresh rules.
