Hey all looking for some feedback on this army and what to deck my squad Sergeants out with Thanks for the feedback in advance!

The main thing that is stopping me with this list right now is the bolt pistol + chainsword combo vs just a bolter on my Sergeants. As this is an IF list I fell like a bolter on my Sergeants fits well with the tactics but I'm looking for your feedback on how well this will work with the rest of my army?
I want to use the models above as I like their looks and have purchased a few of them. Only one not really necessary is the stalker but I need some AA and I believe it won't be too bad against laying some flak down on some infantry.

Ok first you will need to split the 10man into 5man tac squad as you need two troops unless this is unbound

I find IF Sergeants better with combi weapons for extra utility and the bolter fire is of use but i usually take em with a special weapon as well of the same type (so combi plasma + plasma gun)


As for the list

its ok though id prefer to see more utility with a Librarian over a captain.

A single Drop dread is probably going to get focus fired hard and i prefer to see an ironclad for the survivability but thats of a minor issue.

I think you should drop the missile launcher devs (as you have 2 units of devs) and take a storm talon with skyhammers. Will really help your AA and allows you to cut the stalker.

You should definitely use the combi weapons as listed by desubot.

I would consider a drop pod over rhino as it really helps get your models into double tap range to take a good use of their abilities.

What other models do you have?

I don't have any other models than a Sternguard vet squad and land speeder as i'm only just getting back into the game I have plenty of money spare to get new models as am going to get some termis etc for higher point games. This is just my stepping stone list for 1500 and 2000 points.
A stormtalon sounds like it might work but then i need some points for comibs. Does my captian need a storm shield for a 1k game? thanks for your help
