So, I've been working on this space hulk set for ages, decided to give it its own thread.

Most recent, my Space Hulk captain (with notes)

From earlier, the Genestealer collection:

That is fantastic work! The blood angel is gorgeous! I also love how you painted the gene-stealers as xenomorphs.

Thanks! Yeah, I spent a ton of time on my Blood Angels (the rest are getting finished), though I couldn't quite put so much time into so many genestealers who were just going to be recycled... though I'm thinking I'll work on fine-tuning the broodlord.

SickSix, hehe, yeah, tried to do something that would be faithful to the GS purple & blue, but not look like a late 80's/early 90's cartoon barfed on some aliens, so things got subdued... and xenomorphs are still the best aliens.

I believe the broodlord is standing on their skulls.

For real though.. wicked job.

Hehe, they're coming to avenge their dead buddies. Squad 1's just about complete, hoping they'll be done later in the week.

Love the dead blood angel. Pose and chair are excellently executed! Cheers

Lovely stuff man! I really like the different tones you have gotten on the skulls. Your highlights also enhance the model while not being too bright--the Genestealers look dark and foreboding, and the armour of the dead BA looks old. But they still pop.

5000 pts High Elves 4000 pts, Warriors of Chaos 4000 pts, Dwarfs 3000 pts, Wood Elves and Greenskins too

Thanks! Yeah, I tried to stick with pretty minimal highlights except extreme edges.

Beautiful work on these guys. I've just recently finished Claudio myself. God I love lightning claws lol. The little skull on his thigh dangling off a chain went missing though so I had to replace it with a purity seal (if in doubt, slap a purity seal on IMO lol)

Thanks! Yeah, the SH set is probably my favorite GW product in the last decade-plus, regarding content, minis, and price.

Heh, yeah-- one advantage of gaudy GW kits is that you can dover up any damage with more ornamentation

Yep--a handful of guys away from finishing a whole game! Hardly ever get through everything in a collection/faction, but this'd be the first time ever that I'd be 100% done with a game!

(...unless you count theoretically working on other faction expansions or digging up hybrid rules... damn. Well, even if I did that, done with every official model )
