How was Perturabo and Curze's relationship?

Perturabo and Curze had a lot of similarities. Both were dark, silent, brooding individuals.

Both launched massive attacks on their homeworlds. Both could "see" something warp related.

Given the similarities, were they close to one another? It seems like they could've been each other's best friends.

I don't believe they were overly close and the reasons you list that might draw them together, are also reason why they would not be close.

Having to launch an attack on your homeworld isn't something that they would be bro fisting over. Perturabo was ashamed of his actions.

They would get along badly. Both Perturabo and Curze got along badly with everyone respectively, so combining the two would create a vortex of bitch

They were both pretty ashamed, but because of that, they could've been more open about it to each other.

I don' t think Curze felt the same way at all about it. He knew his homeworld was a cancer and he used it as an example.

Personality wise they were completely disimmilar I thought. Perturabo was a brilliant tactician and strategic mind in terms of conventional assault and defense. Cruze was a master of covert attacks. Cruze also seems far more emotional and brooding than Perturbo who I had thought felt more taken for granted despite being perhaps the most competent military leader in terms of execution.

Peturabo is a very decisive person and commits fully to any decision, where as curze is very mecurial, can't imagine they'd be close

Really? That's interesting. I don't think they are dissimilar, there are better examples of that.

Curze is more emotional but I think both were quite high on the emo, brooding, bitter spectrum compared to other Primarchs.

Didn't Perty throw a hissy fit and beat the crap out of Berossus? Also Curze was highly committed to spreading terror hehe.

Due to emotional problems, one can appear strongly driven yet mercurial.

For e.g, imagine your gf is in a generally bad mood. She might sound very forceful when making a request to you. Then, you screw it up and she completely blows her top.

Kurze got along badly with everyone.

Perturabo while brooding and private was respected by every primarch even if he was a hard guy to like.

Magnus was his friend and he had no issues with Guilliman Vulkan and the Lion.

Kurze had no friends and was despised by every primarch.

Kurze is the biggest disapointment among primarchs.

Sure, it didn't last, but for a while Fulgrim was the only Primarch Curze would really talk to. Fulgrim was the one he talked to about his visions, but then Fulgrim went and told Dorn, Dorn confronted Curze, and Curze beat the crap out of him. I think that was the point when Curze really cut himself off from all the other Primarchs.

I suspect the latter. Especially as Perturbo I suspect felt so udner appreciated that it would be easy to get him to agree to do you a favor just because he likely doesn't feel asked in that regard much
