Microsoft have slapped a ban or our email provider so we currently cant send any emails to hotmail users. If you are a new user, please register using a non-hotmail address or you wont get the confirmation email. If you are an existing user, I recommend you change your email to a non-hotmail account if you use email notifications at all.

Doubtful. To them, Dakka is one of countless numbers of websites on the internet, each equally as unimportant as the other in the grand scheme of things; they don't really need an excuse.
