Subject: [H] OLD Leman Russ and Demolisher [W] Info! [USA]

Hi Everyone,
I inherited some old-school kits from my brother once he got married. While the gift was appreciated, I haven't had the time to play much 40k once I got my new job. Long story short, I'm a Space Marine guy not an IG guy.
Anyway, I'd say these kits come from ca. 1990 and the Leman Russ tank has never been opened, it's still vaccuum sealed! The Demolisher kit was opened to check the sprues, but I don't think anything has been taken off the sprue.
Is this stuff worth anything? I have no concept of how much this would be worth nowadays. Any help would be appreciated!

i'd imagine they'd be worth at least retail. the old tanks and new tanks are very similar looking, i'm sure they'd still be in demand. try ebay for 'items sold'.

All brand-new-in-box? You could ask for retail and maybe get it, or drop a few bucks and sell'em for sure.
Or on Dakka ask for space marine stuff, if that's your thing.

In all honesty, the older russes don't come with the turret options that the new ones do, and some of the accessory options.
Most people selling online are doing 70-80% of retail for NIB, so with the older kits that don't come with as much as the newer kits I'd advise more on the side of pricing lower than the more current kits.
As was mentioned though, you could offer them as trade for something you do want (retail for retail) and you'll probably benefit more from it.

There could be some value to folks who collect NIB Citadel stuff or to people who prefer the styling of the older tanks. Although the new kits are very similar to the old ones, people who have older armies might be willing to pay more to keep their army looking consistent. Sure, the new ones have more options, but some people prefer and value the older aesthetic.
I'd put them up on eBay and hope to get some Oldhammer enthusiasts into a bidding war

Hi Byte,
Yes, once I get a good handle on what they are worth, I'd be happy to trade or sell them. Thing is, I just need to find something I'm interested in trading them for.
Thanks for all the input, everyone! Ebay might have to be the route that I go.
Regards,

There's a guy on bartertown looking for a russ and has a metal death company for trade.

Figured I'd throw that out there in case you might be interested.
