This is the 1850 version of my competitive mono-Slaanesh CSM/Daemons list. It's for an upcoming tournament.

Sorcerer (Psyker lvl 3, Spell Familiar, Force Sword)
20xChaos Space Marines (Close-Combat Weapons and Bolt Pistols)
4xChaos Spawn
Maulerfiend
Herald of Slaanesh (Steed, Locus of Beguilement and Grace, Psyker lvl 2, Grimoire)
Herald of Slaanesh (Psyker lvl 2)
Herald of Slaanesh (Psyker lvl 2)
20xDaemonettes
12xDaemonettes
20xSeekers
Soulgrinder (Mark of Slaanesh)
Soulgrinder (Mark of Slaanesh)

1850

What kind of lists would this army struggle against? What improvements can I make? Feel feel to tear it apart, I'm looking forward to the C&C.

If you had d pare points, think about MoS+IoE for the 20 csm. But you need infiltrate from huron or cypher.

This is a bad suggestion as it would mean rearranging your army, but have you thought about Be'lakor? He's Slannesh, and with all the Telepathy powers he can weaken the enemy, and more importantly, make your own army invisible. With invisible SoulGrinders you can wreck the enemy, or you can make your Screamers or Daemonettes invisible, as to swarm without many casualties. Just my opinion. He's also a good fighter.

There's no turning back... Triumph or oblivion.

I thought only one (the highest ranking) locus could be active at a time?

Other than that it looks pretty solid. What about a second herald with a steed?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Although I would like to see one more fast assault threat in there that could keep up with the seekers. The Soul Grinders are pretty fast but seems like they will be outpaced pretty handily by the maulerfiend and seekers.

What dropping some CSM and the Spawn for some Slaanesh Bikers with an Icon accompanied by the Sorc?

You're right about the conflicting loci, so I dropped the LoG.

I was looking at the bikes, but something about the model count just kind of bugs me- I feel like they might attract a decent amount of fire, but they don't hit very hard themselves. So instead, I put in a second seeker squad. Here's what the list looks like now.

Sorcerer (Psyker lvl 3, Spell Familiar, Force Sword)
21xChaos Cultists (Close-Combat Weapons and Pistols)
Maulerfiend
Herald of Slaanesh (Steed, Locus of Beguilement, Psyker lvl 2, Grimoire)
Herald of Slaanesh (Psyker lvl 2, Steed, Locus of Grace)
Herald of Slaanesh (Psyker lvl 2)
20xDaemonettes
12xDaemonettes
20xSeekers
20xSeekers
Soulgrinder (Mark of Slaanesh)
Soulgrinder (Mark of Slaanesh)

Not a fan of the lone maulerfiend and the cultist blob.

The helbrute formation where the cultists worhsip the helbrute/and are fearless. Would actually not be bad.

Aftermath can be calculated.

Formations are banned in this tournament, unfortunately. :(

I'm not a fan of the cultists either- they really are just nothing more than ablative wounds. I would replace them with something that can better contribute to the fight, but I'd have to drop either the maulerfiend, one of the seeker squads or one of the soulgrinder's to afford anything worthwhile- and I'm not sure what to axe.

In my 1500 point version of this list, the CSM are the primary detachment and the daemons are the allies, and I have three maulerfiends in that list, which combined with the seeker squad is a very scary thing to see moving upwards of 15'' turn one.

But I dunno... so far the Maulerfiends, while being a great psychological tool, have never really performed. They usually get shredded by anything that's not a non-walker vehicle, and oftentimes get blown up before they can reach anything. If only they were AV13...

You could drop a couple of daemonettes/seekers and take the daemonheart armor to pretty reliably summon even moar purple femme fatales

Can you swap out the Maulerfiend for another Soulgrinder?
Or maybe a Sonic Dreadnought from IA13?
