So I am just starting out and want some thoughts/criticisms/advice on what i'm planning on buying

HQ-
Overlord
upgrades: MSS, WS, Res Orb, semp weave, and phase shifter
troops-
1 squad of 10 warriors
1 squad of 5 warriors
1 squad of 5 immortals

elites-
1 squad of 5 deathmarks

Heavy Support
1 Annihilation barge

Thats what I "know" i'm getting but I don't know what else to get.

Well, we don't know how things change when the new codex comes out.
I'd recommend buying the battle box.
Here you get a Ghost Ark and 5 Immortals.
I'd get another Annihilation Barge or better two and two Night Scythes.

Are Necrons getting revamped or just updated in the new codex I haven't heard anything about it so I don't really know.

Well, I guess they will just get a new codex and some of the rules will be adapted accordingly, whatever this will mean.

A ghost ark is always nice to have, and if you like a vehicle, I'd recommend going with the Rule of Two. Always bring at least two of them.

And if you haven't heard it from elsewhere, the Catacomb Command Barge is the new 7th ed. Cheese, at least until the new codex comes out early next year. But until then, it'll make your overlord obnoxious.

Necron codex will drop soon.

But you really can't go wrong with getting the basics. Which would be Necron Warriors, and Overlord, maybe a Nightscythe.


Everyone has their own predictions, but noone is going to say you don't need those. I think its safe to buy a ghost ark and some immortals as well.
