I have been playing CSM for a bit and so far I have gotten my ass kicked every time. Frankly, Im tired of it. I've made this list in the hopes that you guys will tear it down and give me enough advice so that I have a chance. My local Meta doesnt have any flyers in games under 1500pts so thats why I didnt include one.

The terminators have nothing on them. I'd love to include a unit of havocs but I think objective secured is more important.

Something about the list just feels off. Though I cant put my finger on it.

I like it, but whats the benefit of doing regular CSM over plague marines?

Why is your biker lord riding alone? He needs spawns or other bikers!

Listen to Opera and escort your biker lord.

I would not advocate regular csm, but I suppose he is suggesting you need more boots and bolters.

Usually, plague marines are great for new players because you can be careless with them and they would survive most things longer than regular csm.

What are you fighting? Dark Eldar who use poisoned shooting to ignore your T5? Are you fighting enemy vindicators or anything that has S10 to id your plague marines? Are you fighting massive ap3 to stop your FNP?

My primary opponents are ork, IG, and space marines.

Whoops haha I forgot to add the bikes to that list.

I dont think ap3 ignores FNP only weapons that cause instant death do that.

Sorr for the confusion, as S 10 usually comes with ap3.

Se aside 2 pts per csm. When you fight choppy orks, use it to buy ccw. When you fight loyalists then use it for votlw. If you fight guard then consider MoK or MoT but if you can try to drop other stuff to get MoN instead at 3 pts per marine.

I think I can keep the Plague Marines pretty cheap cause they already have ccw.

Unless you are advocating regular marked csm over plague marines.

Im working on a new list now that takes out the terminators, one of the vindicators, and forgefiend for a hellbrute mayhem pack, some bikes, two squads of cultists and a few more plague marines.

Ill post it in a bit.

The way he has plague marines set up, 190pts. You could have Opera's suggested 10 CSM, 2 Meltaguns, meltabomb, rhino, dozer blade and dirge caster for 210pts

What if you used both csm and plague?

10 CSM, 2 Meltaguns, in rhino with dozer blade-200 (never assault!)

5 Plague Marines, 2 plasma guns, meltabomb-155 (foot slog, and fnp when plasma guns gets hot!)

Do you think Plague Marines can survive by foot slogging?
