Hey guys so I like the idea of undead legions and using both tomb king and vampire count units. I atm I have a large vampire count army and I'm just wondering if it is going to be worth it to start buying tomb king units. I'm not planning on doing a tomb king army so I don't want to buy the units only to have them shelved for eternity once people stop playing undead legions. I haven't been in the warhammer scene for very long so I was hoping other people will hae opinions on this based on experience as well as maybe some good ol' rumor mill knowledge

They are currently GW officially legal.

Your local gaming group / TO may house rule otherwise so check with them. As for here to stay we don't know what 9th will bring.

It could stay or it could go the way of say the slayer army from the old storm of chaos & no longer be legal. Nobody can be sure.

It will be here until at least june/july of next year when 9th is rumored to drop.

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.

My suggestion is to kit bash or convert units to represent TK units: for example, by giving bows to VC skeletons.
Bonus points if you can build monsters which can be also be used as a VC monster.
In the worst case, in a few months you'll simply have to swap the weapons and you'll end up with a bigger army.

I think it will be like a chaos legion, where few people will yell at you, and you can mix mash armies.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

If you look at the way 40k has allowed for players to use more, I think it's safe to say mixing them up will remain a possibility. Though the methods and style may change

This is not an expansion. This is WFB now. I cannot see this being temporary.

This is the first time in 20 years that my Undead army has been entirely legal (if I count Isabella as a regular vampire), stop staring down the gullet of this specially-wrapped horse!

Vampires, archers, chariots, catapults...oh my!
