Honestly I need a word by word analysis of the challenge and fear rules. But the issue that came up today was that my unit had to make a fear test and because of WS if I failed fear test I could not hurt anything in CC.

My Warboss was in a challenge but if I failed my fear test I would want to Divine intervention him out.

The problem is both say at the start of the fight sublease is when they are resolved. Which goes first?

Sequencing!

Sorry, I just love stating that as so many problems are answered simply by resolving multiple Rules separate to each other and in the correct order. If you turn to the front of the book, General Principals, you will come across a section with the same title as the word above. It will describe what to do if two Rules are triggering simultaneously, in particular Rules with 'at the start of' timing. If I am remembering correctly it should be located around the section which begins to explain the Turn itself, as the timeline is directly related to this concept for obvious reasons.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

At worst you would hit on 5s, so its not that you cant hit "anything"

Otherwise as above - on your turn you get to pick what occurs first, on their turn they pick.
