Hi,

I've recently purchased some brush on Humbrol Matt Cote because I was fed up with spray on varnishes frosting on my models. Unfortunately, I've noticed that when using the brush on varnish tiny white specks appear on my model. It looks a bit like dust but there seems to be too much of it to just be that, I wonder if it's actually taking the paint off?

Anyway, I'd be grateful if anyone could give me any help with identifying this because it seems at the moment like I'm stuck between using a spray varnish and risking frosting or using a brush on varnish and risking these white specks.

Thanks!

Pictures would help.
But in all fairness I wouldn't discount dust as a source of the white flecks and spots.
Most of our homes are dustier than you'd imagine.

I may be an donkey-cave, but at least I'm an equal oppurtunity donkey-cave...
