So I've been looking at Kommandos for the longest time to figure out what to do with them.

A post in the rules question forum brought up the point that it might be good to have intervening models to up your saves. Which I know probably has been used by Tyranid players, but my question is having a Stormboys squad and then outflank a Kommando Snikrot squad behind it(assuming it's hugging the corner sound like a good strategy?

1 squad is usually not hard to be placed in cover without other entervening models.

If you're running a formation with 4 squads, you could use 1-2 min squads just to give cover for your larger ones cause it's hard to hide this mass of boyz in cover when you arrive otherwise.

Personally i use min squads of kommandoes with 2 rokkits and nothing more. They're nice for maelstorm. Durable enough when you g2g and can occasionally shake a vehicle or something.

btw, i think you should change the title cause you're asking about kommandoes here and "Cover by intervening models + ShroudStealth, wise?"sounds like: "Is cover good?". Ofc it is /thread
