Looks like fun, some changes I would make are:

Drop the Trygon Prime to a regular Trygon, and take another Venomthrope. I'd also switch out the rupture cannon for the acid spray, as it's IMO better. Cheers

Yeah, I modeled my Tyrannofex with a Rupture cannon, because back in 6th edition it was okay. now you're paying 30 extra points for less firepower. Acid Spray or Fleshborer hive is the way to go. Also, I would take away the toxinspike and replace it the Maw-Claws of Thyrax for the Prime. Same points cost, still have dual wielding, but after he kills something in melee, he gets preferred enemy against that codex, which applies to his shooting attack as well.

Thanks for the notes. I would have another venomthrope if I had another one onhand. I did drop the rupture cannon for acid spray in my game tonight and it worked great.

Nice! Just a couple of nit-picks. 1) put a Thorax Hive on the Tyranofex, it's the best 10 points you'll ever spend (on Nids anyway) Also if you run a Tervigon, Hive Commander is real useful (Outflank the Tervigon) if you simply drop the Miasma Cannon, and put a Thorax hive on, you have most of the points needed.

I'm not a huge fan of Hive Guard, so if I were to use them, I would drop one, and buy a second Zoey...that saves the 5 points you were looking for.
