So transitioning from hyper-competitive to more thematic. Big competitive and narrative tournament this weekend with prizes and such. There will be good players there, but no one will have a tournament build.

Here is a much watered down version of my nurgle list at 1500, and I think it is strong but not OP. Opinions?

Be'Lakor
Daemon Prince - nurgle, armor, wings, ml3, mace, familiar
10 cultists - mon
10 cultists - mon
5 raptors, - mon - 2 melta
5 spawn - mon
blight drone
plague hulk

With 2 measly obsec units, it should be easy to beat in a narrative environment, correct? Or donkey-cave?
I know one of the players is at the same level I am and he will bring a strong army. A couple of the above average guys will bring pretty strong lists as well. I guess if I have to ask, it is too much...

No these two things will ruin the game for most narrative players.

Besides if it was a thematic narrative list you wouldnt have belakor.

Yeah man, I gotta tell you...saying "this is my watered down list" and then kicking it off with the two single best choices in all of Chaos, min troops, and two FW pieces is generally going to not look like you're taking it easy -- regardless of whether it's laid back from your normal list or not.

Why not? Belakor is an unmarked Daemon Prince, he can fit in with any CSM or Daemon list that a regular DP would fit in. <referring to the "thematic" remark. >

That said, two FMC's could be troublesome for a casual list. And, I would avoid using invisibility at all costs. Us competitive players are used to it, but it's just... really disheartening to play against for more casual players, I think.

I always though he was a daemon of Tzeench

at least he seems very tzeenchy.

If so i will have to redact my thematic comment even though he still seems way out of place amongst a bunch of nuggly things (though im no fluff expert)

I guess the appropriate-ness will depend on how competitive your narrative player opponents are, because that's still a decent semi-competitive list (maybe even on the higher end of that scale). If you're worried about it though, just swap Belakor for something else.
